The St. Aloysius Local School Council supports the principal and staff in the ongoing development of the School Improvement Plan. The council is currently composed of five parent representatives, one community member, one teaching and one non-teaching staff member, as well as the principal. We have several parents who act as classroom representatives. They help us to communicate decisions made by council to the broader school community. Parents and staff are involved in committees which provide recommendations to the council. Present committees in place include School Services/Spirit and Safe School. A small group of parents and staff have worked well together to ensure ongoing support for staff and students. The council meets on the third Tuesday of every month (except for December and March), as do most
committees. Members from the St. Aloysius School community are invited to attend any of the meetings so we can continue to strengthen our involvement in the lives of our students.
